Dancing Bear Pub
About This Spot
Stepping into Dancing Bear Pub feels a bit like coming home to your favorite neighborhood hideaway—a place where time slows just enough and the hum of easy conversation blends perfectly with the clink of glasses. The pace here is relaxed, unhurried, inviting you to settle in whether you’re popping by for a quick pint or planning to linger well into the evening.
There’s a gentle warmth to the space that’s amplified by its friendly and welcoming team, whose knowledge of the craft beer lineup encourages simple exploration rather than overwhelm. It’s the kind of spot where the beer isn’t just a drink, but a reason to start a conversation or share a laugh with both familiar faces and new ones alike. Outside, the seating offers the perfect spot to enjoy a mild Texas evening, whether to catch up with friends or soak in some fresh air alongside good company.
Local flavor extends beyond the taps, with a menu that complements the drinks effortlessly—imagine crispy fried Brussels sprouts sharing the table with hearty pub burgers, complemented by crunchy fried pickles and the kind of fries you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again. For those who savor small discoveries, the cold brew or a toasted coconut cocktail might just become your new favorite companions during a slow afternoon.
What makes Dancing Bear truly special is its sense of unpretentious hospitality. Dogs are welcome guests, adding a genuine feel of community, while the owners and staff create an atmosphere where every visit feels personal, whether you’re celebrating a small moment or simply enjoying the routine of a well-crafted pint. It’s not just a pub; it’s a local gathering place where stories unfold, connections form, and the simple joy of good beer and relaxed company take center stage.

Was there for the silkies hike meet & greet and it turned out to be the perfect location to host it! Great beer selection! Staff was super nice! Outside area was perfect for our needs. Loved it! Thanks y’all!

Very relaxed place! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I get in here every chance I get. The owner is way cool and Kevin (the dog) is the best part of our trip! Stop by when you have a chance and try the wings and poutine! #DuckFatFries are amazing!

Great little hole in the wall pub. Great craft beer selection and had wine/Prosecco for my wife. Dog friendly and we can bring in or order our own food.

My husband and I celebrated our Valentine's Day by going out for drinks after dinner. We came across Dancing Bear Pub and absolutely loved it. We got to meet Kevin and enjoyed chatting with the staff at the bar. They were well-versed in their knowledge of each drink. We didn't feel rushed. It was laid back, fun, and relaxing. I love that it's dog-friendly and we even got to listen in on the safety meeting. We loved it!

Nice little spot with a nice selection of beer. I was lucky enough to happen upon this place on a pint night. Plenty of seating, indoors and outside. It's called a pub but there was no food service on site. So make sure you go thirsty and well fed. There are pizza places down the road and a place next door. May have to ask if I can grab a bite and bring it in next time. Overall, a really cool place to hang out and try some really unique beers.

Hands down the best place for craft beer in Waco! Also a dog friendly establishment (make sure you say hello to Kevin, his dad is the owner!)

Very much a pub type atmosphere! Bartender is always very friendly and it is a clean establishment. Very nice to have a wide selection of regional craft beers on tap. If you are looking for a place just to chill in a dark, pub like place… This is it! I’ve been there several times and probably will be back several times again.

Really enjoy going here because they are DOG FRIENDLY (Hi Kevin). Consistent with rotating beers. Thursdays they feature a brewery and may give out items (glasses, stickers, etc.). Decent patio with hugh tables. Everyone has always been welcoming from the bartenders to the patrons.
